Is macbook air 13 worth it?

Hello, I have a question about buying a new laptop. I have to carry it with me every day, so I focus on weight. Choice between macbook air 13 and asus ux303ub. I have never used mac os before. Since you will need to work with microsoft products (sql server, visual studio), is it possible to install a virtual machine and work there, will air have enough power? Are there any other options for a performance lightweight laptop in the $60,000 price range? Thank you.

Asus has an IPS screen, which wins, and significantly. Air has all the other advantages. It's better built, better trackpad, macOS, battery lasts a really long time. If Windows is needed most of the time, then it can be installed on Air via Bootcamp in the same way. For full-fledged complex work with a virtual machine, IDE, browsers, SQL server - 8GB of RAM will not be enough. Still possible without a virtual machine. It is unlikely that there will be an emphasis on the processor, unless you need to compile a lot, otherwise all modern processors of the i5 and i7 level (including energy efficient ones) are suitable for system tasks.

Take a bug. It's uncomfortable to code on air.

If you plan to compile applications, then the Air power is not enough, even Pro 13 is not enough (my android developers I know are on the 15th, where Java compiles quickly, with NET applications the situation is probably similar). So it is desirable here Pro, 15 inches, they are more powerful, they have a 4-core percent.
There are no problems installing Windows on a poppy and a virtual machine is not needed here, through Bootcamp you can install Windows as a second OS without any problems at all.
