Light spot on the laptop screen. Dead Matrix?
In general, after a 5-minute trip of a laptop in a bag to the university, I was surprised to find a light spot of an irregular shape on the laptop screen in the corner. (its edges are visible even if the laptop is turned off) I
scored, because it was possible to work. After some time, a little more than half of the screen turned into a light strip. Then the line disappeared. After a while, it gradually reappeared. Etc.
Dead Matrix? And can this be fixed at home? If not, is it not easier to buy a new laptop?

Dead or not, it's hard to say. Understand, look.
And you can change the matrix at home. Chinese will cost from $100 (depending on the laptop model and matrix type).
Most likely, something got on the diverging lens between the backlight and the matrix (water?). Replacing the matrix should solve the problem. Show a photo of the spot with the laptop turned on, without it you can only guess about the problem.
There was a similar garbage, but with smoother edges, I took it apart, dried it - only the replacement helped
I suspect that you, like me, put pressure on the matrix rather well. Here she is.
There was a post somewhere about freezing LCD displays. Look.
Light bar, you have problems with the inverter. Such a chip is small between the hardware of the laptop and the matrix. Looks like the cables are damaged. Disassemble, delicately remember the connection. MAY be corrected.
