Is Mac mini 2012 up to date?

Will the purchase of Mac mini 2012 MD388 with extended memory up to 16GB and SSD be relevant. Actually, it is needed for such work tasks as Sketch, PS, AI, AxureRP, movies and music. Or throw the amount into the budget and buy MBP. I know such questions have been raised repeatedly about what to choose.
It is the relevance of this baby for 2016 that interests me, and soon it will be 17 years old. Is it worth taking or is it better to look towards something else from Apple products? Thank you.

I would say that it is more relevant than the more recent ones. this is the best year of minik so far. what was done later has a fatal flaw - soldered memory. and you can easily climb into this one, add strips, change screws. although as I see the previous owner has already tried.
