Mac Mini

Mac Mini Late 2018 or MacBook Pro 2019?

Again a difficult choice.
I am a native Android developer. I work on Asus ROG 17", Core i7, RAM 16Gb, SSD, 4K 27" display.
But the next project is a Flutter application for Android and iOS, and in the future there will be many such projects and this will be for a long time. Therefore, you need to buy something from Apple.
Typical working environment: Chrome with a bunch of tabs, Android Studio, Postman, PostgreSql, PyCharm + local REST service or virtual machine, Word, Excel, Skype.
The choice is between: MacBook Pro 2019 16 "Core i7, RAM 16Gb, SSD 512Gb or Mac Mini Late 2018 with similar parameters.
For MacBook: mobility, autonomy, against: price.
Macbook costs 185 thousand rubles, Mac Mini - 144 thousand. RUB The difference in price is noticeable for me.Which
is better to choose?
Is 16Gb RAM enough for Mac OS?
In the case of a Mac Mini, it is possible to choose 32Gb RAM and it will still be cheaper than a MacBook (just a little bit).
Is it critical to have a Core i7 Gen8 or is a Core i5 Gen8 enough?

Thank you for your attention and answers.

Do not rush to install a virtual machine yet.

Of course I understand that I have a xeon workhorse, but in reality the virtual machine and the emulator work tolerably

Macbook, of course. 40 thousand is not a big difference, in fact. How long will you beat them? For a month or two?
So at least you can work and relax where you want, and not conditionally at home.
I would take 32, but 16 is enough.
i7 is critical.

MacBook, in addition to mobility, you will also get a good retina screen, and 16 GB is enough with a 15-year-old Mac, so you should not worry too much.
Moreover, the MacBook is more in demand in the secondary market, in case something changes.

if you are on a budget, take a used one or install a hackintosh

For the MacBook, as far as I remember, it has a better percentage and mobility does not hurt. You can look at 15" they are cheaper, 16 RAM is enough, I have a lot of tabs all the time, Docker and a couple of virtual machines are spinning, everything is OK, enough.

Thanks everyone for the advice.
I settled on Mac mini Late 2018 Core i7, 16 Gb RAM, 512 SSD
What influenced the choice:
Taking into account the discount, the difference in price with the MacBook Pro will be more than 50 thousand rubles.
Mobility is good, of course, but for such a difference in price, I can carry my 17" Asus in a backpack while traveling.
Moreover, as my experience shows, I don’t want to work in warm regions and my performance tends to zero.
