Is it possible to use an ADLS modem as a router?

There is such an ADLS router TP-LINK TD-W8961N:
TD-W8961N_UN_3.0_03_large_1510109185224g
is it possible to make a regular router out of it? those. plug a network cable with the Internet into it and have it distribute this Internet over Wi-Fi?

In a number of models, this function is standard, one of the LAN ports is configured as a WAN, and you get a regular 1xWAN + 3xLAN router. I had such an asus, in both modes it worked fine.
It may be in yours, look in the settings.
Alternatively, you can search for OpenWRT or something similar for your model and configure the routing you need there.
UPD: A cursory googling led to an article , try it.

In theory, you can, if you install a normal firmware and bring the port to a separate vlan. Look for alternative firmware that can do this.
