How to implement MAC search in a large network of network equipment?
Good day, People!)
I would like to solve for myself such a question as searching by MAC in a network consisting of a couple of hundred network pieces of iron (L2, L3) of various vendors.
Could you tell me, please, what do you use for such purposes?
Perhaps there is some monitoring product that "sideways" is able to search for the required MAC in the FDB/MAC/IP ARP tables of the devices it monitors? =)
Products such as Observium, LibreNMS, NOC Project come to mind.
I would like to hear your advice, until I started using one of the above closely.
Thank you in advance if you decide to take a minute of your time to my question =)

In a network on 8k switches, there has never been such a problem. The network is not full-mesh, there are still some uplinks, there are router interfaces on which you can arp-watch. In the end, you can collect a table of poppies from network equipment using snmp and search for it, you can collect, for example, once a day, and collect it in a file.
