Depends on the BIOS, some BIOSes have a built-in file manager, partition information and even a partition editor (!). In such cool bios it is quite possible. But so far it's more no than yes.

It's not possible to do this through the BIOS. The maximum that it will show is the presence of a disk with its identifiers. That is, the disk tells the BIOS, I am such and such, I am in such and such a state. What is written on pancakes - he does not care about this. And MBR / GPT is just a record on pancakes. This is equivalent to asking how to see in the BIOS which optical disk I have inserted into the drive. BIOS in this case will answer about the capabilities of the drive.
