Is it appropriate to use two alphabets in a domain name?

The customer believes that the domain name is not particularly important, and therefore does not want to spend a lot of time coming up with a name. Therefore, as the final version, "imyasite.ru" was suggested.
Are there any disadvantages of using two alphabets in a domain name, except for the complexity of writing?

a domain with any characters other than the standard ones can only be used for business card sites.
In the case of working with mail (SMTP, POP3), everything will not be very good.

Personally, I don't think so from experience. The main domain must always be in Latin.
As for Cyrillic, it is better to take it in the .rf zone (.xn--p1ai). Though at desire it is possible on .com, .net and .org.

There are no minuses, except for the fact that the Cyrillic alphabet will have to be translated into puni code.
In general, purely my IMHO - this is not aesthetically pleasing and it will be generally incomprehensible for foreign clients.

Tell the customer that I, as a potential client, will be too lazy to switch layouts to type such a domain. Therefore, let him spend additional funds on promotion so that his site is on the first page of the search engine results, because I am also too lazy to reach the second one.

Such a name seems to be inappropriate, only either the Latin sitename.ru or the Cyrillic sitename.rf
