Is a cooler for Intel i5 required?

I found a great used Intel i5 at a great price and delivery, but no cooler included. Buy separately or not? (It seems that the PC already has a cooler, but it may not be suitable)

If there is a cooler, then it is not necessary. Well, otherwise you will need a cooler.
You need to look at what kind of motherboard, and already choose a cooler for it.

A cooler is required for a desktop processor. Or a cunning, complex and silent cooling system - but a cooler is simpler.

The last percent that did not need a cooler was, as far as I remember, AMD 5x33 of 1997 :)

If the processor fits the socket and the cooler fits the socket, then the cooler fits the processor and you don't need to buy anything.
