Recommend hardware for Debian
Good afternoon!
I am compiling an application for the purchase of hardware and software.
Please suggest hardware models with proprietary hardware support (sensors, RAID, hotkey, etc.) in Debian from the manufacturer.
1. Rack server (so far only found ProLiant)
2. Laptop
3. System unit
4. UPS

IMHO the wrong question.
Debian is an operating system. Basically, there are problems with the presence of drivers and firmware in the packages, after the basic installation, you can change the kernel to a more recent one, with support for devices, many hardware manufacturers open specifications or write drivers themselves, which are then included in the kernel, and slip the firmware during installation. Now there is practically no iron, except for very, very new, problems with which cannot be solved. If there are difficulties with specific equipment, then you can ask the habrazhiteli, it is highly likely that they will answer in detail.
And I would recommend choosing iron not for the operating system, but for tasks.
About servers, oops, I can’t help - I never bothered with this. Let me just say that ProLiant is definitely supported and HP even has its own debian repository.
For laptops see here: http://www.linux-laptop.net/ .
Well, the system unit - google hardware support, and smoke this: http://www.tldp.org/HOWTO/Hardware-HOWTO/ .
