Invalid partition table on coremodule 920. What's the matter, how to avoid it?

Coremodule 920, Kingston 60 GB SSD are used.
The BIOS settings are set to AHCI mode.
The MBR is on the SSD.
An SSD is also a system drive.
The 8 GB GLS85LS1008P internal SSD is secondary.
Sometimes there is an invalid partition table problem. It occurred regularly when connecting an external 1TB hard drive. It has already occurred twice without connecting anything that requires a lot of current (only a GPS-GLONASS receiver and a trackball).
Now the problem is solved in a somewhat shamanic way.
The following course of action:

  1. Wait for error message
  2. Press ctrl+alt+delete then press delete until bios appears
  3. In the advanced -> SATA configuration section, select IDE instead of AHСI
  4. Exit saving settings
  5. Wait until a black screen appears with a flashing dash in the upper left corner of the screen, wait 5 seconds
  6. Disconnect the power, wait for the loss of power on the board
  7. Power on
  8. Wait until a black screen appears with a flashing dash in the upper left corner of the screen, wait 5 seconds
  9. Press ctrl+alt+delete then press delete until bios appears
  10. In the advanced -> SATA configuration section, select instead of IDE AHСI
  11. Exit saving settings
  12. OS should boot

This solution to the problem helps, but:
  • It is problematic to completely reset the power on the board twice
  • Requires autonomous operation, no intervention => automatic repair, or no occurrence

I would look towards powering both the entire device and consumers via USB. There are specialized Volt / Amp meters connected between the device port and the load. And check the overall stability of the supply voltage.
