Installing Ubuntu on raid1 hardware array, why does it see all hdd ?
Made raid1, akronis direct drive sees only one partition per 320GB
But when installing ubuntu sees / sda and / sdb
What's the point?
When /sda is selected, it still throws on /sdb
I made a markup, but for some reason, when installing it, grub wants to shove it on /sda and I can’t manually specify /sdb but the system still does not boot
Something I have a feeling that ubuntu is not can work with hardware raid 1

Most likely, this is not a real hardware RAID, but a semi-software (firmware based).
It won't work without a system driver.
Read https://help.ubuntu.com/community/FakeRaidHowto
Better use Linux software RAID.
I have an assumption that this lacks a driver out of the box.
Look at the instructions from the raid, maybe you need to install some package there, or just dynamically load the module before installation.
What exactly is a controller? There is a suspicion that nifiga it is not actually hardware. In that case - man mdadm and forward.
