Installed icons not showing up (Ubuntu gnome)?

There was a problem with icons in Ubuntu. I downloaded the pack of icons on the Gnome look site, placed them along the path /home/.icons
(indicated by the author) and selected the pack through Gnome Tweaks. As a result, half of the icons were displayed, the other half displayed the default icons or did not display them at all. It looks like the icon has a lower priority or the wrong path is registered.

Please clarify if my question is too poor!

Try moving the icons to .local/share/icons in the user's home directory.
As far as I know, it doesn't always work in .icons.
