What kernel to use for Ubuntu Gnome 16.04.2 LTS?

Actually, what is the most stable kernel for Ubuntu Gnome 16.04.2 LTS. I used Ubuntu Gnome 17.04 week 3, it costs 4.10.0-19 and everything was flying on the laptop. I decided to switch to a more stable version of the distribution 16.04.2 with kernel 3.8.0-51. After installation, I began to notice that 16.04.2 was working with some kind of slowdowns. For example, in 17.04, opening the browser is noticeably faster. So from here the question is - is it worth switching to the 4.10 kernel? Who is using what?

@zooks

I currently have Ubuntu 16.04.2 LTS.
Kernel 4.4.0-75-generic is stable.
But I had to turn off Secure Boot for the video card drivers to work.
