Increasing RAM on a laptop?

I have 8 GB of memory on my laptop - 4 gigs are sewn into the motherboard and 4 are inserted into the slot (only one). Can I buy a 16 gig motherboard and put it in instead of 4?

On this topic. There are no 16GB SO-DIMM modules yet, only 8. So, taking into account 4 per MP, you can get 12GB.

50 to 50. On the manufacturer's website in the specification of the laptop, the characteristic "maximum amount of memory" should be indicated. This figure depends on the motherboard, so do not jump above your head.

in my experience, the motherboard is 50% laptop + work, does that make sense? look better on the manufacturer's website or on nix.ru the maximum volume that your laptop supports for expansion.

often the maximum amount of memory is written in the instructions attached.
Or you can check the manufacturer's website. I didn’t find the specific model that I found on the link, but about Aspire V5-552G-8632 , Aspire V5-552G-X414 and Aspire V5-552G-X852 it is written that a maximum of 12 gigs ...
and here is the same
