Magnetic or traceable paint/spray?
Hi all.
The task is to track particles (pieces of plastic or metal) moving at high speed. For clarity, imagine a bullet with an RFID chip. Only our particles are slower.
And RFID chip is really very expensive.
Imagine a wall. It is divided into arbitrary sets. Objects fly there. It is necessary to track which object fell into which sector. Therefore, as an idea, it was to hang some kind of receiver or receivers on the wall and paint the objects with magnetic paint.
So the idea of magnetic paint or something like that came up. I've searched the web and found nothing. Are there similar things? Can anyone come across? Do you have any other ideas for solving the problem? Thank you.

Of course there is magnetic paint.
To be honest, I didn’t understand why you didn’t find it, the very first request in Google gives a bunch of links www.tikkurila.ru/dlya_vashego_doma/produkty/magnetik
But magnetic paint will most likely not help you, because:
a) the mass of paint should be significant on each flying object, which will introduce distortion
b) the impact will most likely be at high speed, very likely elastic, therefore the magnets behind the wall will need WILDLY powerful ones, which in turn will introduce distortions into the trajectory, not to mention the price of the issue of powerful magnets.
Fortunately, the solution has long been invented, there is a thing called "ballistic gel"
It is done quite quickly and simply by yourself, the Internet is full of recipes.
Filling a block the size of the entire wall to a sufficient depth will, of course, be quite hemorrhoids, but imho this is the only working option.
As part of the delusion - if not a very large number of objects fly at the same time, and the sector zone is not very small - for example, you can physically divide the wall into unrelated structures and attach a shock sensor to each.
rave. Well this is what strength the source of tracking should be. how much interference should be eliminated. tie with spy movies my friend.
1. High-speed cameras forming a stereo pair
2. Radar if the objects are conductive.
The simulator (simulator) will not work? For example, a car crash test can be performed on location or on a computer.
