How to use the Print command from the program for your own purposes?

At the moment there is a Printer driver (but it is not for a physical printer).
It works like this:
The user, for example, opens any PDF editor.
Selects File -> Print.
Selects our printer driver.
Presses Print
At the same time, our driver receives the content in the form of PostScript
Sends it to our program for processing,
which in turn sends it to the site
The site converts PostScript to PDF and processes it.
Thus, we have the ability to send content to our site from any program (required) where it is possible to print. Everything has worked well for many years.
But there are downsides. Firstly, the design is quite crutch. Secondly, there are problems with the PDF -> PostScript -> PDF conversion.
I would like to hear your ideas on how else it is possible in theory to organize the process? Another format? The use of the Print command is mandatory for us.
For example, there is a "Microsoft Print to PDF" driver. Is it possible to use it? Something like this is needed.
