How to restore Vagrant box?

I deleted the .vagrant folder, restored the same folder from another project in the image and likeness. (substituting the required IDs from VBoxManage list vms). It worked and the image is loaded as needed. But the problem is how do I get into the ssh tunnel? Can I somehow regenerate the keys or something else?
