How to restore a level 1 raid with an unallocated area?
Good afternoon.
On one of the servers, the Win Server 2008 OS is not loaded. There was a raid array 1. I don’t know which way to dig in order to try to restore the OS. It is not clear the raid was software or hardware. The raid controller is standing, but the ide mode is selected in the BIOS, before that the PSU was changed, it was not me who changed it, I assume that the BIOS was simply reset by default, or perhaps the raid was just software, another person was engaged in the settings. The disks have one visible partition with the OS, and one unallocated area. I pulled out critical data from an unallocated area through r-studio. Now I would like to try to restore the OS. What is the best way to try to recover unallocated area in level 1 raids? And how to find out which raid was hardware or software? In general, we need advice on what actions can be taken to restore the raid, unallocated area and the OS as a whole? Thanks in advance.

By replacing the power supply, the BIOS is not reset. The BIOS is reset if the battery on the motherboard is dead or you took it out.
If you do not need to pull out the data, then there is no point in restoring the OS - set up the hardware configuration you need and install a new Windows. Don't bother with recovery - it's a waste of time.
