How to monitor vrf client in Zabbix?

Hello colleagues. Actually the essence of the issue in the header - there was a need to monitor the status of clients in vrf.
The idea immediately came to create a network node with a client address (for example, 10.10.10.1) and attach the standard icmpping ping template to it. Quite expectedly, zabbix says that the subscriber is not responding, although with PE ping vrf FFF at 10.10.10.1 it goes well.
Please tell me how to fix this issue.
UPD: so far I have not come to anything more visual / smart than putting a trigger on the presence of incoming / outgoing traffic

@hobbyte

If vrf is on a cat, it may be possible to use ip sla from it.
Option 2 - create a gate for zabbix in this vrf.
or routeleak.
