How to lower the voltage from 5v to 4.2v?

Ruined the charger, in an attempt to fix it. The output voltage is 4.2V. There is no special access to components, such as controllers, since I am out of town. Is it possible to make some adapter that will fulfill this requirement?

And what of the elements is on hand?
You can use the poke method to assemble a voltage divider from resistors and capacitors

Plug 1-2 diodes in series. Each will drop 0.4-0.6V.

Since the question here is about 0.8 volts, I would advise the DC-DC Step Down Converter based on the LM2587, since it can be fine-tuned. I also advise you to buy ready-made, since you can order it for very little money in China. Search for "LM2587 Step Down".

if you use a minimum of components, then you can make it on the simplest 1 transistor and 1 resistor, there are a lot of circuits on the Internet.
