How to learn C from scratch?

A couple of months ago I started studying programming, I know how a PC works and a little about Operating Systems. I wrote a little in python when I read Grokay Algorithms. I want to learn C, and subsequently c ++.

The book is far from new, and the C language is quite old.
Once upon a time, I started with this book.

There is a very good series of books from Stolyarov "Programming: an introduction to the profession." The second volume is just about S. A very understandable and competent presentation.
