How to install Windows 7 on UEFI Acer Aspire E1-510?
Thanks for reading.
Problem installing Windows 7 x64 MSDN on Aspire E1-510.
In Acer's UEFI, there is no option to select Legacy Bios mode. GPT disk (although I tried to install MBR).
So, the second day is coming, which I have already tried:
1. Install from a licensed Windows 7 disk (Red bar during "Starting Windows")
2. Install from a multiboot flash drive (Win7All) (Does not even allow you to choose as a boot option)
3. Install the recorded UltraISO and rufus-1.4.6 from the MSDN flash drive (I tried all 3 MBR-GPT-UEFI modes and two different flash drives - no results)
4. Start the installation from under the installed Windows 8 (An item appeared in the boot menu, but did not boot)
5. Install from a USB flash drive according to the instructions here user veremi1 (Can't find BCD file when booting, although it's there)
6. Approximately the same manual, but with bootsect at the end (same result)
7. Copy the image to the root of the disk (Didn't let me boot from it)
8. Format from GPT to MBR and try point 3 again.
9. Start installation on one computer, and after reboot put it back (Does not boot)
10. The same thing, but after the second reboot (Also nothing comforting
) Windows 7 (Does not boot)
12. Format the disk back from MBR to GPT and try to boot (also to no avail)
- I checked almost every item both in Secure Boot: Enable and Disable modes.
- Each time in UEFI, in Secure Boot: Enable mode, marked all found UFI files as reliable.
This brought visible results only in point 5. And then, it just allowed it to boot and give a BCD error.

Be sure to disable SecureBoot and reset all its settings to factory settings, and then try to enable Legacy Mode again. If it does not turn on, a flashing will help (not necessarily a downgrade, you can use the same version).
here's the trouble, I have the same laptop, it's also an infection and does not understand ve300 from zalman
Try to perform p.p. 1-14 from here: community.acer.com/t5/Notebooks-Netbooks/Aspire-E1...
For those who were looking for a link to download BIOS images for Acer Aspire E1-510, here it is .
Windows 7 cannot be installed on this laptop even in UEFI mode. this OS does not support UEFI GOP, and without it, embedded video will not work.
BROT!!! I CAN'T WAIT for instructions on how you did it!!! once it's done!))
I suppose you need to find the bios where there is legacy bios, right?
help me solve exactly the same problem as you... installing win7 on aspire e1-510
https://plus.google.com/+PavelNovikov1/posts/RJ9y6... - that's a good thing, it helped me! I was tormented with the installation all day, until I came across this article, updated the BIOS and everything became fire!
I went to the acer website - us.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/drivers , downloaded bios v.2.11
There are detailed instructions in the archive ...
True, I had to install win8 first
Then, from under 8, I launched the downloaded file bios, the flasher started, the laptop rebooted, the bios was updated, the menu item appeared - legacy
Using Paragon 14, I converted the hard drive from GPT to MBR
Installed win 7 without problems !!
Thanks to the author, after flashing a new BIOS , I managed to boot without UEFI.
I would like to note that in order to remove Secure Boot, you first need to set a password for the BIOS, after which the password can be removed.
Linux Mint 17.3 is installed on the laptop, everything works out of the box, Wi-Fi, network card, video. There was a problem with shutting down from the OS (it turned off only with a button), the problem was solved by disabling the option in the BIOS (xHCI Support: disabled) now the system works like a native one!
Everything is not like in a fairy tale, defeat after defeat, everything is not like clockwork, everything is not thank God, everything is not like people's.
2 DAYS!!1!!1! suffered with this acer aspire ES1-533. I tried everything that is written above, and I don’t remember the order, what I did for what, it would seem that the last hope was for the BIOS firmware so that this long-awaited LEGASY would appear there, the official website offered only one version, I stuck it from under Windows 10 - and NIFIGA! the Legasy function did not appear .. But then I thought it was time to look for the assembly of Windows 7, which will be installed with UEFI. OVGorsky suggested such an assembly, did everything through Rufus as expected, and OPA: the BIOS saw a USB flash drive !!! and the laptop even booted from it and installed Windows, but at the first reboot everything fell on Starting Windows .. Such a path to go through, so much to do, and run into Starting Windows .. Somewhere they wrote that during the first reboot you need to change UEFI to Legacy, and the installation will go further. But I DO NOT have Legasy ..! Maybe you can not download the BIOS from the official? I myself am afraid to look for unverified versions, it will be covered with a copper basin - and I have to hand over these laptops. The two of them are the same, by the way. What do you advise, experts?
