How to remove Secure Boot protection on a Samsung rv520-s0aru laptop?
You need to install another OS (Linux/Mac OS). The Secure Boot option, which is not in the BIOS interface, is enabled by default. It does not allow you to run the installation of other OSes, except for Windows. Setting a password in the Set Supervisor password option did not solve the problem. There is no Secure boot item at all, and not that it is inactive. Bios updated/downgraded. rebooted after setting the password. Any ideas?

Perhaps he is hiding somewhere in other pages. In different laptops, I saw this item in both Security and Boot Options, and even in the child subsections of the second level a la Advanced.
But even if Secure Boot is enabled, many Linux systems support it and should boot correctly. (About which I know for sure: Ubuntu, Fedora, openSUSE, ROSA.) If this does not happen, perhaps the reason is something else. For example, Secure Boot may not allow booting from an optical disc, in which case it is better to install from a bootable flash drive.
