How to install ubuntu and windows 7 in parallel?
If I install linux, I leave half of the hard 200 gigs free
when it is installed, I boot from the installation win7 and it says it cannot install Windows into that partition. Formatting the partition doesn't help. full format only.
if I put Windows, then linukha then does not see the markup. thinks the disk is completely empty.
at random came to the conclusion that the installers are in conflict. Linux needs uefi and Windows wants to see GPT
How to resolve the conflict? And why is it only me? I don't see any problems in Google =(

the mice cried and pricked. but continued to eat the cactus. it's about parallel installation
One section will not work.
Usually I do this: I boot from the live distribution of the line, GParted I make the primary partition for Windows ntfs (50-100GB). I am making another primary ntfs partition for storing files (the largest one). and one logical line (20 - 100 GB) (I don’t break it in any way) Next, I put Windows in the first section. Running Windows, she sees 2 partitions (let's call them C and D drives) When installing, Windows itself creates another 100 MB partition from the space allocated for it. Next, I put a line, during installation we break its section. Here it’s convenient for someone, someone is all in one partition + swap, someone is "/" + "home" + "swap" (usually his) when necessary, you can specify the size for each of the partitions ... for example, for "opt".
The Linux bootloader will overwrite the Windows one. Although you can then restore it. If you need a Windows bootloader to boot both Linux and Windows, I would recommend EasyBCD.
