How to flash a controller on an external HDD?

transcend storejet 25p stopped being detected in win10. I took it apart and found out that the problem is in the controller that connects the HDD and USB.
The disk is working, but how to diagnose or reflash the HDD - USB adapter board itself?
Is it possible to reflash using some program on win10?
