How to determine the percentage of your participation in the project?

Good time of day friends.

I would like to discuss on the topic of Methods or criteria for assessing the percentage of participation in projects (startups). Or rather, hear personal examples in the comments.

So, let's begin. I'll tell my story. I work in a holding company in St. Petersburg (I will not name it deliberately) and I also have a small IT company that deals with various IT projects. And everything seems to be fine, but not so long ago my old friend contacted me. And he asked me to make a website for his new project. As he talked about this project, I began to realize that I had more to offer than just a website. I can offer full project management and support within IT. And I offered him, but let's say to work and he agreed. And when I got home, it suddenly dawned on me, but I have never participated in such projects as a partner, as an employee, yes, but there is a salary and bonuses. And then ... In general, to the question of how much it would cost, I can’t give myself an answer. Those. I understand, that I can’t accurately estimate the cost of launching and maintaining the project. I forgot to clarify - the project is not just another web service. And legal insurance of foreign citizens on the territory of the Russian Federation.

When we once again raised the issue of payment, I proposed a partnership - i.e. I become a co-founder with a certain percentage of shares. And everything would be fine and my friend as a whole liked my proposal. But what is this percentage? My opinion is about 5%.

How to determine this percentage? Share.

break down the entire work of a task, tasks into subtasks, etc. until you write down all the activities on the bones, then it will be possible to evaluate the work of each of the participants in terms of time and complexity to complete the final tasks. From here it is possible to determine the participation of each participant in the project - this applies to the executive bodies. If you are investing money to hire employees to do the work, then there is a slightly different approach. The percentage of investments to the total boiler will be the company's share :)

Now the project is at the stage of designing it as a business model, there are general concepts of how everything will be. Little things just have to be discussed. There is no complete clarity. And yes, of course, my employees will participate.

OK. This is clear. How to deal with this, for example: I am given the task of buying number 800 and agreeing with the call center on creating a support line in several languages. How to evaluate labor costs in monetary terms? Stupid by the hour?

And how is your option to impose on the timeline, for example, during the launch, the productivity of some participants will be 0, at the stage of robots, the productivity of these participants will be 80 percent ...

There are plenty of options here.
The share can be as a percentage of salary, or as just an incentive.
If it acts as a compensation for your efforts, then it is more profitable for you to evaluate these efforts in money and determine their percentage of the monthly investment in the project. That is, 500k is spent on the project every month, a specialist performing such work costs 100k, your salary is 60k. So you give the project 40k, which is 12.5 percent. But this is in the early stages.
What will happen next should not particularly worry you, if someone invests more in the future, then you, as shareholders, will have a choice - to pay a salary or, until the money allows, to buy it for interest. But here you can’t calculate the interest so easily, because. money and effort have already been poured into the project, you will have to stupidly negotiate.
But again, all negotiations should be based on an assessment of the cost of work, as if people were working as employees.
There are other options, it all depends on your project and the current state.

goal: to have office "lan A" and "lan B" on the same network.

If you mean one IP prefix ('subnet') on both segments, then you need to somehow stretch the L2 domain between routers so that broadcast requests between segments A and B pass (pseudowire and others).
Now, in fact, the prefixes on lan A and lan B are different (I mean /24 mask). If you still need the availability of machines in different prefixes (i.e. for "pings to pass"), then mikrotik1 needs a route to 192.168.1.0/24, next-hop 10.10.10.2; on mikrotik2 - route to 192.168.6.0/24 next-hop 10.10.10.1. It is also necessary to make appropriate amendments to the firewall settings.
If we are talking about the fact that the connection between the lan A and lan B segments will be carried out through this VPN, then it will be necessary to register a static route on each mikrotik, similar to the previous one, but with a worse metric (and the next-hop will need to be changed accordingly).
