Good afternoon, I recently got a job in a trading company, my first job, the company is relatively new.
From the first days, I was puzzled that I often have to perform the same algorithm of actions, in my opinion it is possible to automate, let's get to the point:
There is a virtual warehouse (website) that shows the availability of items in the warehouse from different suppliers
For each item there is a certain price, which is basic for all
Each supplier offers its own discount table for us
The discount table is formed on the basis of dividing all positions by price groups, each group corresponds to a certain discount set by the supplier
Discount is calculated:
1) Article - price group - (discount)
Our price is calculated :
2) Base price * (100-(discount from the group) / 100) * (VAT)
My algorithm of actions:
I receive an application from the sales department ; I look
for an article in a virtual warehouse
; in the excel
table of the supplier's discounts,
I calculate the price in a separate Excel file, taking into account the discount and VAT,
I give the price to the sales department
as amended by articles
As a result, it is required that when entering the article, it is displayed
:
2) Displaying availability in suppliers' warehouses
3) Displaying prices including discounts and VAT in the same window for warehouses where available
4) Displaying prices including discounts and VAT where not available
If this is possible, then this function will be possible to delegate to the sales department , which I am sure will support this position as they will be able to immediately provide prices and receive them much faster.
But before making this proposal, I would like to know how this is possible to implement and whether it is feasible and who could implement it in order to go with an already more or less prepared solution
