Historically, virtual disk files have remained, occupying from 500 to 800 GB. When you try to delete the file, it will be renamed to {*****-***-***} (symbols from numbers and numbers under the stars), but are not actually deleted. Disk space is not freed up. There are specific problems with explorer, there are specific problems with ntfs. To face the first - no need to dig deep to solve them - just use anything but the explorer.
