How to deal with a bunch of cases (GTD)?

Summer is the time to learn something new. But for the last 8 days, nothing has been done. How do you manage time? What GTD are you using? I started switching to dvorak, learned the layout, but it's really a long process, I can't code properly. Is it possible to use dvorak together with kverti at first? Is such a transition really necessary? How long does it take?
