How to connect via FTP to the local BitrixVM server?

I'm trying to master Bitrix and for this I said from the off site VMBitrix based on CentOS.
The car is up and running and is fully functional.
Next, I decided to connect with FTP through FileZilla to access my website files on the local server.

Host: 192.168.100.9 (IP of the local server)
Name: root (not the name of the site admin, but VMBitrix)
Password: ******
Port: 21

I get an error:

Status: Failed to establish a connection with "ECONNREFUSED - Connection refused by the server" .
Error: Unable to connect to the server

I believe that the solution is extremely simple, but have not yet figured out how to handle it myself.
Maybe it's all about the name and password? Perhaps you need a username / password not from the VMBitrix root user and not from the site admin panel? Then what?

@tolmachinski

there is no ftp server in the VM by default,
you can use sftp and from the bitrix user you can collect its password through the VM admin panel
If you need a clean ftp then
