How to connect to a thin client?

There is an HP Compaq t5000 and a laptop with linux on board. How do I connect this client to my laptop so I can use it as a monitor for this client. Both machines have VGA ports, I connected them through a two-way VGA port, there was no reaction. If I'm doing something wrong, please let me know. Thanks

The laptop's VGA port only works as an output, for connecting an external monitor. It is impossible to use the laptop screen through the VGA port, although many people dream of this (I would not refuse such an opportunity either).
The same applies to the HDMI port of the laptop, also only for output.
