How to configure vmware routing over VPN?

The main operating system is windows7, there is a virtual machine on vmware as well as windows7, on the virtual machine you need to configure the route through the VPN network adapter (TAP-Windows Adapter) using vmware network tools.
That is, while the connection to the VPN is active - there is Internet through it, as soon as the VPN is turned off - the Internet on the virtual machine disappears.
the network adapter (TAP-Windows Adapter) is located on the windows7 operating system itself, and the virtual machine must be configured to work with the network only through it.
The first thing I tried was to set up a bridge in the network settings (VMNet), between the vmware, and directly with my TAP-Windows Adapter network adapter, setting up the bridge, and starting the virtual machine - there is no Internet.
The second thing I tried to register on the virtual machine is already in the properties of the windows7 network adapter the subnet that my VPN uses, assigning to the virtual OS one of the IPs of this subnet, the subnet mask, and the gateway IP of the VPN server.
So it didn’t work either, and the Internet didn’t appear.
I would be very grateful if you could tell me how to set up the Internet using this scheme on virtual windows7 through a VPN network adapter (TAP-Windows Adapter).

In Windows, make the connection "shared" (share it, changing the IP on the interface to which the sharing is made to 192.168.
Two options, choose any depending on the configuration of the rest of the good.
