How to configure disks for file storage?
There are 2 disks of 1TB and 1 disk of 2TB. I have an idea to assemble it as follows: 1TB + 1TB = 2TB, which are mirrored with a 2TB disk. That is, raid1 from raid0 and a separate disk. Well, or how to use this disk set for a shared folder at the company more efficiently? And what is the best system to put under the storage? Now everything is spinning on the seven (windows), but it lacks connections. Thinking between freeNAS and Synology's x86 port. File washer machine:

Ну и диск 250гб под систему.

Nas4Free.
raidz1.
Usable space will be 2TB. The pool will withstand the failure of any one disk.
Over time, replace 1TB disks with 2TB disks - get 4TB of usable space with the same fault tolerance.
After that, the freed 1TB * 2 should be linked in the ZFS mirror.
If you are not friends with NIXes, install any server windows, even 2003 will do.
At the expense of RAID, the idea is correct, but I would also mirror the system disk, but it's better to collect it in the 10th raid. To be faster
