How important is the ppi parameter for mac-retina monitors?

Hello!
I recently purchased a MacBook and, in addition to it, the LG UltraFine 4K (24MD4KL-B) recommended by Apple.

After a couple of hours of work, a problem appeared on the monitor, there was pressure in the eyes (as if intracranial pressure was pressing on the eyes), a veil in the eyes (how to look at such bunnies in the sun), and in general, a feeling of eye strain.

Googled, tried to play with the brightness settings, does not help. For some reason, the last thing I paid attention to was the PPI of the monitor - it turned out that this monitor has only 186 PPI. While fellow LG at 27 inches 218 PPI. Considering that the MacBook (2020) has 227 ppi, can the reason for the eyes be caused by this discrepancy? Or still play with the settings?

The monitor seems to have positive reviews (except for the price), so it's a pity to refuse directly. If it's a matter of ppi, then I can replace it with 27 colleague, where it's better with this. But in any case, the eyes are more expensive than the monitor.

Something doesn't add up here.
A 24" 4K monitor will have a higher ppi than a 27" 4K monitor.
In any case, it's definitely not the ppi.
Try to check the monitor for flicker (pencil test), adjust the brightness (I never have more than 30% on lg 27ud68). If all else fails, the market is full of alternatives.
