How can a freelance layout designer evaluate a project?

Hello! Constantly there are difficulties with the assessment of the cost of work. Especially when, in addition to layout, you need to write / install additional java scripts, and then pull it all on the CMS. And if at the same time you still need to make an adaptive, it’s generally a disaster. You can underestimate the work, then you overestimate it. Share your experience, how do you cope with this task? Can you use some kind of price list?

Estimate an hour of your work in monetary terms, for example, 200 rubles.
Say, for example, that you will complete the project in 5 days. 1 working day = 8 hours.
8*200*5 = 8000 rubles.
An accurate understanding of how to evaluate a project (in terms of time) comes with work experience.

There is no fair price.
The minimum price - there is only your free time and other earnings.
The maximum price - there is only the financial capabilities of the customer and your ability to talk.
If you earn X money during the same time working at other jobs,
then this particular layout order costs at least X money.
If you have no other potential orders, no other work, then your minimum price = 0.
And the maximum amount is determined only by your knowledge of the meaning of the word "google" and the ability to hang noodles, ugh, to convince the interlocutor.
For the same work can cost 10 times more.
And the most difficult thing here is not the assessment in money.
A time estimate.
It comes with experience.
As rightly noted - to beat into small parts is the most correct method.

The cost of hours of work + 30%
Well, you calculate the man-hour for yourself :)
And of course, any work is estimated approximately.
It is better to take more hours, especially if there is little knowledge or experience in some area.

to beat the project into pieces to evaluate them with forks in hours, multiply the fork by the cost of an hour
Well, give the client a good, average and bad forecast.

As much as you personally agree to do it.
All prices are different.
Try to estimate the cost of time. Multiply by 3.
And understand how much you lose other projects (and money in them) during this time.
This will be the normal price.
