What tool for organizing tasks do you use?

Greetings! The question is more for those who work independently and organize their own working day.
How do you organize your affairs and tasks? Some task trackers like Redmine? Notepad and pen? mindmaps? Calendar on your phone?

The main message is that you need just some simple tool so that you do not plan for the sake of planning, as individuals do after personal growth courses, but quickly note the tasks of the task and move on to them.

I've been trying to find some convenient way and I can't decide. So far, a bunch of Google Calendar of daily activities and appointments and MindMaps for work tasks looks good. Maybe someone knows better?

The main problem is correctly noted - it takes more time to fill in all this, especially at the beginning of use, than to work itself. And most importantly, the tool is not as important as the system.
I have tried different tools. From established ones like Trello to relatively obscure ones like Chaos Control and Solo . And different systems, like the Eisenhower square . As a result, I settled on the simplest list system and Apple's native Reminders program, which comes out of the box on iOS and macOS. I have 5 lists and I do not divide tasks into work, home, etc.

  • Today (tasks from other lists or something urgent)
  • During the week (from here I take tasks if the “today” list is suddenly empty, but there is time)
  • Pending (unfinished tasks, paused)
  • Reminders (this one by itself, here are tasks with a notification, watering flowers, paying for a subscription, etc.)
  • Inbox (list for sorting, some tasks can lie for years, parse some folder, etc.)

At the beginning of the week, I decide which ones and drag tasks from the Inbox and Pending to the In the Week list, and every day from it to the Today list, but this is if it is empty or I do nothing if it has not yet been empty since yesterday. Everything. By the way, Columns
appeared not so long ago, and if it had already existed a couple of years ago, I would have chosen it right away. But, as I said, the tool is not as important as the system, but it looks nice.

I use Trello. The client also has access to add new tasks.

For a long time I was looking for the best technical solution in terms of convenience and practicality. notebook + pen won.
Of course, it is not suitable for teamwork, but here it already depends heavily on the context.

the simplest is either a notepad available both from a phone and from a computer, like google kip
, and the second most necessary is a google calendar with email alerts, also available from a phone and from a mobile

I use Todoist, available on different platforms. Allows you to divide tasks into projects and set priorities, which is very convenient.
In general, the functionality is quite wide, but the interface itself is simple and clear
synchronization with different platforms is present, a premium account is needed only for very subtle things, there are no ads
