How and how to replace the Cowon c2 screen?

I have a cowon c2 player with a broken screen. Finding a screen replacement proved to be quite difficult.
I found information on the forum that the screen can be taken from Asus p526 / p527.
Ordered from asus. If you insert a cable, the screen lights up, there is no picture.
On the screen cable it says 1-39, on my broken 1-40.
I want to understand the screens in order to understand which one is suitable for my case.
Can someone explain how to fix this?
