Hard drives "for video surveillance": a real need or marketing?

Actually this is the whole question. Let's say we have WD blue, positioned as "for desktop computers", and WD purple, positioned as "For video surveillance systems". However, let's look at the characteristics:

I do not see any differences that could clearly be a plus specifically for video surveillance. Yes, there are more guarantees (by the way, the store has 2 years for blue, not 1, as indicated here), but even the speed is less and the porridge is also less. And nowhere is it written why it is necessary to use Purple, and not Blue or even some Toshiba. Yes, it is a little quieter and its operating temperature is higher, but these are all insignificant little things.
The only thing that caught my attention was the weight. Purple has 200 grams more. Whether this is simply due to the materials used or some kind of super technology to improve reliability is not clear.
In general, who knows - enlighten. Interested in practical comparison and articles / detailed reviews in the first place.

1) Purple has disabled parking, which for disks used in video surveillance is needed as a stoplight hare.
2) Purple is suitable for use in RAID arrays, again due to disabled parking, as well as due to TLER support.
3) There are some other optimizations in the firmware related specifically to sharpening for video surveillance. Where I read it - I'm too lazy to look, google it yourself if you're interested.

I'm using WD Purple as storage, i.e. the second drive on my computer.
On reading, especially if torrents are enabled, it is extremely tight, in order to watch a FullHD movie with a normal bitrate without delay, you need to disable everything that works with the disk.
