Why is the HDD not showing up in My Computer?
I must say right away - until today, the Seagate external HDD was displayed in My computer immediately after connecting.
After a little googling, I clicked on the My Computer icon, then clicked on Disk Management and my hard drive was detected
. But I still did not understand why it does not appear on my computer?

Create a shortcut on the desktop to drive G: and go through it.
There are many reasons why a drive might not show up, from a crash to incorrect registry settings.
The most obvious option is that there is nothing on the disk, and the "Hide empty disks" checkbox is checked in the folder view settings.
