What happens if you remove a partition from an internal hard drive?
I installed a second OS X (another version)
on a separate hard disk partition . I was extremely surprised when I found that the programs installed to the previous OS were working (which I absolutely do not need). In this regard, the idea arose to "extract" the disk partition from the first OS from Finder .
But after thinking about it, I still didn’t understand when this disk partition would be read again and whether I would break anything at all? Tell me, somebody!

In order to leave comments, you need to log in
1. Boot into the desired OS
2. Run the disk utility
3. Select the desired partition on the disk with the previous version (the one that is not needed).
4. On the panel, poke the Unmount button (or whatever you have in Russian (Extract))
-------------------------------- ----
Or:
------------------------------
Open Finder right click on the section with the previous version (the one that is not needed). In the menu, watch the spell "Extract "Disk Name"", perform this tricky spell, get a profit and brag to your friends that you have learned how to unmount disks in osx.
------------------------------------
Or (if the disks are displayed on the desktop) (You managed to configure this )
------------------------------------
With a simple and not forced movement, drag the disk in the direction of the basket and throw it into it; at that moment, the icon will change.
Nothing is lost in this process.
