Does it make sense to indicate a fake address to attract the target audience?

Hi all! Our agency is engaged in web development. Physically, we are in St. Petersburg. And the customers we are interested in are in the States and Australia.
In search engines, in social networks, on various sites like clutch.co, when you specify the address, the site one way or another begins to focus on it, and if the customer is from another country, she will recommend him his local agencies. We communicate with clients via email, skype, etc., physical presence is not required. Maybe in this case it makes sense to indicate fake addresses to better attract the target audience?
So far I don't see any serious cons, maybe someone faced a similar situation?
