Does user-select:none on h2 affect site indexing?

On the site, the h2 heading is used as a button for a drop-down list. For convenience, I put user-select:none in css. They ask me to remove it, they say it will not be indexed. How to explain what will not affect the indexing?

Ctrl + U and show what is and is not dynamic in the source code. You can also mention that even display:none is indexed.
