Does it make sense to have 2 wires from the same provider?

It makes sense only if they go through different equipment through different areas. That is to say, they are independent of each other. But if the provider’s head is covered, you don’t have an Internet at all.
It was like this for me:
First they tightened the copper, the channel was constantly problematic, after they laid the optics, the copper remained and even improved. The optics went along a different route (around the city), the copper was different and remained as a reserve in case of loss of optics equipment. But now 2 providers 2 channels. It's easier.
