Do you need a self-instruction manual for working at a computer :-)?

Just don't laugh :-). Here. The calls of nice and kind people who are dear to me, and to whom I only wish good and happiness, who want to do something at the computer and cannot, and I, remotely, without seeing their screen, can’t help them either, are completely overpowered, only I listen to nonsense like “I have a printer connected to my computer, so where is it then on the C: drive? I can't find it anywhere." And I want to choke them.
I want either a book (paper), or something in PDF, or even a video course on YouTube with educational program, and in pictures for accountants . On Windows7 or at least on XP.
A hundred million years ago, he himself studied according to Figurnov, then the book helped a lot. Is there anything similar now, sensible? Recommend something good.

Back in school, I had a book by Simonovich "How to choose the right computer." There and about the kit, and about the characteristics, bios, installing Windows. In general, the book gave an answer to 80-90% of standard problems, the choice of purchase and repair of the computer.
However, when people asked for help and I offered this book so that by reading it a person would be enlightened and solve his problem himself, people were offended))
IMHO people will not read books / forums / etc. they need someone to come and solve their problem. Well, those who read books themselves can easily find the necessary information.
P.S. calls from relatives and friends are still annoying, “you’re a programmer, my computer is not working here, you can come and fix it.” Very often I began to answer this: “But in order to change the oil in the car, do you call the aircraft designer, or if your wife is in labor, instead of taking her to the hospital, will you call a dentist you know? Why does he have a white robe?

Better write them instructions with methods for solving typical problems, it will be more useful. And so practice shows - no matter how many books you give, they will not call less often.
This has been tested on several dozen women over 40 - stuffing books and other extensive sources of information did not lead to anything good, and when they told how to treat problems and what to think about during their appearance, things went smoothly, because booze - they are like neural networks, you need to develop reflexes in them, and not fill them with information.
Accountant women over 40, forgive me for such unflattering remarks addressed to you, but you can’t erase words from a song.

My advice is to take the time and try to personally teach.
for the “nice and kind” the book will be quite scary and incomprehensible.
because you poke your finger and say that “type any question in this white strip on top and press this key” - and in the book - the address bar of the browser ...

Since no books were recommended, I just downloaded different PDFs from the root tracker, maybe one of them will be read.
But I found the site teachvideo.ru with video courses about everything. (Honestly, I'm not affiliated with them in any way, I advise, maybe it will help someone). It seems to me that this can work - it’s usually lazy to read a book, and a video where they even poke a mouse for you is much easier :-)
