What is the detailed plan-strategy for training in system administration?

Suppose a person wants to learn administration from scratch, become a system administrator.
Naturally, the first step is to install the appropriate OS for work, create a real environment.
Well, we went further.
Here, I would like to ask, what can be a complete strategy or plan for training and developing skills in administration, if you are self-taught by this?
Interested in theoretical questions, topics, summing up the results, and actually real practical tasks that need to be done to control knowledge and consolidate everything passed.
Maybe someone has a list: topic-task-question, many, many, full course? Books? Blogs? Websites?
So that the entire development vector is given, from the very initial level to the maximum.

Judging by your past questions, you first need to decide what to do.
And yet, if you decide specifically in the field of system administration (by the way, what direction?), You need to practice asking adequate questions (read any books, you can read classic ones), really want to work (think about who you want to be in 5 years), compose a good resume and get a junior engineering position in the right direction - installation of networks / enikey / hay on duty

Set up a virtual environment for yourself, put different operating systems there, play around with them, choose what you like best.
Set up a simple site using MySQL and PHP, try setting up MySQL replication. Try to maintain a real site with real traffic.
Try Docker, look at Ansible/Chef/Puppet.
Start working in this direction and you will learn new things as you work.
Read Mana!
Good luck!

Learn how the OSI model works. You open Tanenbaum "Computer networks" and by levels, from the first to the seventh.

The study of theory in this area with a smooth transition to practice.
If from scratch, it is better to get an education in this area, at least enroll in the relevant courses. Then get a job in an initial position in this area. After a couple of years, you can try to be a sysadmin.

Start learning the free icnd1 v2.0 course (google it with a bang, see the one from Atraining). This will give you more than a complete basic understanding of the operation of the network and network protocols.
Then start solving tasks like: raise a domain controller, configure your dhcp\dns\mail and tydy.
The network is the basis of everything for the administrator.

IMHO you need to start with books.

The question was initially incorrectly posed, it has already been discussed here. CCIE may well not cut into the DB, the web administrator with a wild creak will work in ios, and so on. Of course, there are enough universalists, but it is really necessary to determine the direction. Because there are a lot of technologies, they are developing very rapidly.
That is, try everything superficially, work with networks, with the web, with databases, with DNS. You can read the preparatory materials for the ccna course - this will give the beginning of the network in a normal volume. Start learning scripting languages, read something about linux kernel programming (I'm not talking about heavy C now, but about calls, signals, and so on). Then it will become clear what you gravitate towards.
And yes, it is impossible to get the maximum level here.
