Consequences: Change category URL on WP site - 200 articles?

Good afternoon! Interested in the following question and consequences. I want to change the whole URL of a category on a site, there are about 200 articles in this category. What will be the consequences in search results? Maybe someone did it? Or is it easier to create a new category and fill it already, and just forget the old one and not touch it? The fact is that in the changed name of the URL category there will be a keyword suitable for all 200 articles.

301 redirect from old to new and everything will be ok.

Pointless idea with the "keyword" in the URL.
If the page contains relevant text and tags, then I don't care what URL is on top. But that you will lose the already gained "weight" of the domain when you duplicate or change (for a search engine, this is deletion and creation of new ones!) - absolutely real.
But if you really want to implement your plan, then I advise:
1. create copies in a new category,
2. leave the ability to open old links
3. In the tags of the old pages - register canonical with links to new ones, so that the PS understands that these are duplicates, and the main copies - in another place (item 1).
4. block old urls (necessary category) in robots.txt
5. don't forget to update sitemap.xml LEAVING! old ones and adding new ones.
Gradually, the old ones will switch to the new ones, and the "weight" of the domain will remain the same.

Hi all! That time has passed and decided to unsubscribe influence in the PS. It can be seen from the picture that the drawdown is minimal. Approximately lost 250 uniques from Google and 50 from Yandex.
