At the moment, the current Bluetooth standard does not support multicast, but it is said that this feature is already in development and will be available in one of the next versions of the standard.
This, as I understand it, is a hardware limitation and, accordingly, it is solved by hardware, for example, with such a separator with two transmitters. But, yes, it is definitely a crutch.
