Can I use the VGA output of the Ryzen 5 2400g with the HDMI of a discrete card?

Hello.
There was a need to connect a second monitor (it has only VGA) to a PC with a 1060 6Gb video card. This PC also has a Ryzen 5 2400g processor with a built-in Vega 11.
Since the discrete 1060 has only DVI-D, a simple adapter is not enough. And on the motherboard, the usual VGA is already soldered, which I already used before I installed a discrete card. So, I installed firewood on Vega 11, forcibly turned it on in BIOS, and it did not start (Win 10 device manager wrote that it stopped it, because it reported an error).
Actually, maybe someone knows for sure - is it possible to somehow make a discrete video card work simultaneously with the built-in one? Or is it impossible and you need to buy a DVI-D to VGA converter?
Thank you.

@Rager

In general, it should generally work as you want.
Pull out a discrete card and try - but in general it will work purely with VGA on 2400G?
Make it work (BIOS settings, drivers, etc., etc.), and then return the discrete video card and deal further with two monitors.
