I bought a monitor with HDMI, and the computer has an integrated video card with VGA and DVI outputs, what is the best thing to do?

I think maybe buy a separate video card. Or just buy a VGA - HDMI, DVI - HDMI adapter, and a separate sound cable. Will there be a difference in image quality? Do the connectors on the motherboard change? Sorry if I made a mistake somewhere, I only recently began to understand the computer.
